HELM includes a robust, built-in REST API that goes far beyond standard GET, POST, and UPDATE operations. Its flexible design uses configurable templates that allow multiple data sources to be linked together and returned in a single JSON output. Even column names and structures can be customized to match exactly what users require. This ensures that HELM adapts seamlessly to each organization’s unique integration and automation needs.
Event-Driven Messaging and External Integrations
Beyond the REST API, HELM provides an external integration messaging queue. This powerful feature allows HELM to send custom-formatted integration calls to a variety of external systems, triggered automatically by transaction events in HELM.
For example, as products are received or shipped in HELM, the messaging queue can update a financial system in real time. These integrations can transmit data not only via REST and SOAP calls, but also through flat files, SFTP transfers, XML messages, and other export formats.
This flexibility means that HELM can integrate with modern enterprise platforms as well as older, bespoke systems that rely on more traditional data exchange methods.
