A Fresh Look and Faster Experience: HELM’s Complete UI Facelift Coming Mid-2026

Humanitarian Software is proud to announce a major upgrade to the HELM User Interface (UI), scheduled for release in mid-2026. This complete update will deliver a modern look, faster performance, and smarter functionality, all designed to enhance usability for our clients across the humanitarian and nonprofit sectors.

Built for Performance and Responsiveness

The new UI moves from server-side rendering to client-side rendering, dramatically improving responsiveness while reducing network traffic—especially beneficial for teams working in areas with slower internet connections.

Other key performance enhancements include:

• Reduced page render times for a faster, smoother experience.
• Virtually scrolling lists capable of handling 100,000+ rows, with support for filtering, exporting, and manipulation of large datasets.
• Improved data filtering that allows multiple filters per column, along with the ability to switch between AND/OR operators for more precise queries.

Powered by Modern Design Standards

The facelift is built on MUI (Material UI), ensuring a clean, consistent, and contemporary design across the entire system. Users can expect:

• Sharper, clearer layouts and more consistent page designs.
• Improved navigation for easier maneuvering between modules.
• Better form controls with more intuitive editing, button placement, and access management.

Security You Can Trust

The update also includes enhanced security measures, further strengthening protections against SQL injection and client-side scripting attacks.

Why It Matters

HELM has always combined flexibility with power. With this UI update, we’re taking the next step—making HELM not only more capable, but also more intuitive, secure, and efficient. Whether you’re filtering through thousands of records, entering data in the field, or navigating across modules, the new UI is designed to save time and reduce effort.

Available Mid-2026 (Beta Sooner)

The new HELM interface will be available with the next release in mid-2026, with Beta access offered sooner for early adopters who want to help shape the final experience.
